Sam Gavzy
VP of Membership

Sam is a research immunologist in New York City, studying the interface between commensal gut microbes and the onset of autoimmunity. He has a dual Bachelor’s degree in Biology and History of Science, as well as a Masters degree in Biomedicine. Beginning choral and musical theater singing in elementary school, Sam continued the hobby through college, where he sang with Chicago Rhythm & Jews and later started the all-male group Run for Cover. Having been introduced to barbershop in 2012, Sam was elected president of the 2013 New Voices class, Treble at Arkham, the following year. In 2014, he served as Board-Member-at-Large for Membership and is looking forward to helping Gotham continue its meteoric growth and development in 2015 as the VP of Membership.
